Custom-made LED profiles

Custom-made means the profile is designed and manufactured to the exact dimensions, shape, material, and finish your space requires — not selected from a limited catalogue of standard lengths and colours.

A standard off-the-shelf LED profile comes in fixed lengths (typically 1–3 m), a handful of cross-section shapes, and basic aluminium or white/black finishes. Otherwise’s custom profiles start from the architecture: the exact recess depth, the wall-to-wall span, the ceiling material, and the desired visual effect. The result is a profile that fits as if it were part of the building itself — no visible joints, no filler pieces, no compromises on length or proportion.

Aluminium, plastic, and wood — each chosen to match the space’s interior design so the profile integrates visually with its surroundings rather than looking like an add-on.

Aluminium is the most common: lightweight, excellent heat dissipation for LED longevity, and available in anodized or powder-coated finishes (any RAL colour). Plastic works for diffused light channels or wet environments. Wood profiles match timber interiors — particularly relevant in Nordic architecture where exposed wood ceilings and walls are common. The material choice also affects how the profile is mounted, its thermal performance, and its long-term durability.

Concrete-cast profiles are installed during the reinforcement stage — before the concrete is poured — resulting in a seamless, flush light line that becomes a permanent part of the structure with no visible mounting hardware.

The profile is positioned and secured to the rebar grid, then concrete is poured around it. Once cured, the LED strip or module is inserted into the pre-formed channel. This approach is impossible to retrofit — it must be planned from the structural design phase. The result: a perfectly clean light line emerging directly from the concrete surface, ideal for architectural feature walls, ceilings, and floors in both residential and commercial projects.

Dim to Warm (D2W) automatically shifts from a neutral/cool white at full brightness to a warm, amber-like glow as you dim — creating atmosphere naturally. Fixed Kelvin maintains a constant colour temperature at any brightness level.

D2W is ideal for living spaces, hospitality, and anywhere atmosphere changes with the time of day — bright and energetic in the morning, warm and intimate in the evening, all from a single dimmer. Fixed Kelvin is preferred where colour consistency matters: retail displays, task areas, galleries, or anywhere precise colour rendering is critical. Otherwise offers both options in every custom profile, so the light source matches the application perfectly.

Virtually any space — from residential (living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms) to commercial (offices, shops, hotels, restaurants) — wherever continuous, seamless light lines are needed and standard profiles don’t fit the architecture.

Common applications: kitchen countertop lighting (even, shadow-free task light along the exact worktop length); cove lighting in living rooms (indirect ambient glow); office workspaces (uniform, glare-free general lighting); retail product displays (precise colour rendering); hotel corridors and lobbies (atmospheric wayfinding).
